Loosen the jamnut(if that is what it is called???), and adjust the screw...

The KD adjuster is the one on the side of the trans above the shift linkage. Loosen the locknut, tighten the screw a good finger tight and back it out 1-1/2 turns. Tighten the locknut and you're done. :shock:

There is no such thing as a kickdown "band". Do you mean the kickdown linkage, or the intermediate or low/reverse band?

You asked a very similar question just yesterday, did it not give you the answers you wanted?

Hey, Step. The question yesterday, was about the kickdown linkage. While "kickdown" band may not be technicly correct, it is a common usage, for the intermediate, or 2nd gear band.

So it is! I looked in my 77 Chrysler manual and there it was. Why do they call it the kickdown band?
