Considering a 4 Speed Conversion on a 69 Dart 225 (currently 904).
I did a 340 4 speed conversion a couple of yrs. ago on a Dart, so I
know alot of what is involved (4 spd hump, pedals etc.) I know I need a SL6 bellhousing and trans.
Questions? Is the Sl 6 Z bar different from the V8's? Since a factory 4 spd
SL6 was never offered in 67-9, would a SL 6 3 speed Z bar work (if I
could even find one)? Can the Z bar be eliminated if a hydraulic clutch system is used, and does anyone have an idea of a common hydraulic
setup to use?

The slant six Z bar from a three speed will work. The v-8 will not. You will need a slant specific bell housing for a 4 speed. They came on Volares and Aspens from the mid to late 80's. I think I have a slant 4 speed bell housing if you get stuck and can't find one. If I can dig it up $50 plus S&H will get it to you.
