I have a 171 and a 225, can i put the 225 head on the 171. is it possible to change the crank as well. any help !

There is no 171 Slant-6. There was a 170 in the US and European markets, but none of them was shipped to Australia. How'd you happen to find one there?

Yes, the 170 and 225 heads are identical. No, a 225 crank won't fit or work in a 170 block.

The parts that are different between the 170 and the 225 are the block, crank, conrods and pushrods.

thanks for the help, i imported the 61 2 door v100, it arrived last week lots of work to do. i already have a 62 4 door in restoration, thanks again
