OK, that's a different kind of delay -- a delay-APPLY relay (we've been talking about delay-release ones).

Ummm...yeah, I see your theoretical point, but with correct ignition timing and good ignition secondary components, kickback against the starter is never a problem. If you are experiencing starter kickback, your base timing is too far advanced or you've got a faulty cap or rotor.

Im just looking for another source for these relays, the Mazda 2.2 with MSTS is notorious for doing this and when someone has this engine in a truck with non marking tires and no static strap, the computer parameters tend to change due to ESD. This is a solution the mfr has come up with but there's no warranty on it.

What's your current Mfr and P/N?

Stant catalogues came in, BTW, so I can cross that cap you're after, but not without knowing the exact make, model and year of equipment it's used on.

When I was in high-school, my friends ignition switch on his VW got flakey, and wouldn't always engage the starter.....

Since we were in high school with very little funds, rather than a new ignition switch he just added a switch for the starter relay.

This also allowed him to turn over the engine without the ignition being on..................

THat's a common hot-start problem. The common remedy for that is to bolt a standard 12V relay to the solenoid and frog it with the start wire, bring power from the battery cable to the start terminal on the solenoid.

I will have to look at the catalog to be sure, but on the upside, I finally found their address today while digging through crap at the parents'... 1100 Gordon Baker Rd. in Toronto, near Finch/DVP. I will post the relay info if I think of it.

The forklifts with the rad problems are Nissan CUGJ02F35PV, all serial numbers use the same rad. Any of the Optimum series trucks have been giving us problems, but we are usually dealing with 8000 lb cushion tires and the occasional 5000 lb cushion.
