well, got it all put back together... i seem to recall the starter struggling a little more unevenly, like theres some compression that was there, and now is not. anyways, pump the pedal... cough cough... and it sputters, and i find myself bouncing out of the car in a BIG hurry to go and blow out the <<<FIRE>>> in the carb...
it was back firing a little through the carb before this too....

Timing? Have someone man the distributor while your cranking? Not familiar with what alll has been done to the car, I'll look at your other threads.

Before Aaron and I got the timing down closer (not dialed in perfectly yet), we had flames shoot two feet up out of his carb. Glad we had the freshly painted hood off. :shock:

We kept a very damp towel close by. :wink:

sounds like valve timing to me, or dist. is 180 out :roll:
