Donno where to point you for a new Carter (I sold my last one earlier this year), but I do have a beautiful brand-new Stromberg WW3 2bbl.

In western Canada the easiest option is to order a 65 Plymouth Carter BBD 2 barrell carb for a 318. Mine was oredered through NAPA. The Autoline # is C-679. I have one on my Super Six and it worked like a charm right out of the box...

I think I paid $119.00cdn. Before somebody jumps on me for paying so much for a rebuilt...keep in mind the damn thing actually worked when I got it...2 days after ordering.

I sent an 80s BBD piece of shyte back as a core.

Careful here. '65 BBDs still had the old fashioned circumferential clamp-band style air cleaner attachment, not the bail-and-top-nut type that was introduced for '60 on the slant-6 1bbl carbs, and spread to the 2bbls for '66.

Yeah, I figured not, or you'd have mentioned it. Carb rebuilders at this late date try to consolidate as much of the early stuff as possible, so you wind up with applications claimed to fit "1960 to 1968".

Just pointing out that in case someone might happen across a rebuilder with a more precise application listing for early applications, 1966 is the safer year to specify.
