Info on the Duals: http://www.dutra.org/doug/doug-sl6-exha ... -duals.htm

How to do it: http://www.slantsix.org/articles/exhaus ... d-mods.htm

As far as performance vs headers, I haven't used either one (yet - just got a set of dual Duals - thanks Doug!) but the duals will last longer than your car will - the tradeoff being a few pounds heavier compared to headers. Doug was running 12s on his car with Duals - that should be enough.

D. Duals perform as good as the "shortee" headers available these days, except they fit the car much better. As for performance gains, you can get 5 to 8% with the D.Duals compaired to 10-12% with a good set of long tube headers.
The cost for a machined front manifold is $225.00
