Hello all. I introduced myself on this board close to a year ago but never got a chance to get back to it much- hopefully I can get here more often..

Got a question/problem: When I rebuilt a slant for my '82 D150 a few years ago, I used an earlier long block, but swapped in the complete '82 hydraulic valve train (new cam & lifters, used push rods, rockers, etc. from the '82 engine). No problems. No noise. No adjusting lash.
Now I'd love to swap a hydraulic cam into my '65 Valiant's 170 for all the same reasons. Problem is that there are no stock pushrods for this combo. Does anyone know of a supplier that could custom-make pushrods for this set-up at a reasonable cost? Any body else converted a 170 to hydraulics?

Thanks!

P.S. I ran a search and couldn't find any info from earlier posts on putting a juice cam in a 170. I know a lot of folks like the solid lifter set-up better for a lot of valid reasons. But I don't plan to get radical with this motor and I s'pose I've gotten spoiled by the quietness and lack of lash adjustments on my truck! :)

Cool. Thanks, SlantZilla.

Looks like if anybody can make 'em, they can.

Pretty reasonable for custom made parts, too.

Rocker malfunction bent it 5 years ago. I just stuck a stocker in the set and went on.
