If anyone is thinking of installing a rollbar in an early "A" body, S&W Race Cars has them on sale. 8 point bar kit, for $139 plus shipping. Sale ends this week, but if you contact them, and say you just found out about it, you might still be able to get the price. I ordered mine, yesterday.

Thanks for the heads-up Charlie!

BTW, I got a couple boxes of Ford studs ordered. I may go pick them up this morning. Thanks again my friend! :D

I looked at those, but they are made of ERW tubing (not DOM), so they are only allowed for round track and I guess NHRA. Any road racing org requires DOM tubing throughout, which is stronger and more expensive.

Just FYI.

Lou, thanks for the info. Tis will work fine for me. I am not up to date on all the current rules. My car may not run quick enough, to require a roll bar, but I have been to some tracks, that require one if the car is gutted, regardless of the speed or lack of it. I guess removeing the headliner, door panels, and stock seats, weaken the structure of the car   The car I am building is gutted, and has an after market seat, and mounting. So rather then take a chance with a tech official, more then 200 miles from home, I will cover my butt (uugh head).
