I have a question in reference to your article about the dutra dual exhaust. It looked really cool to me. In the article it calls for a "stock" manifold. Would this also work for the super six manifold or is it best to begin with the regular manifold?

A factory Super Six manifold is a "stock manifold".
We can use any stock manifold to make-up a rear section.

I am ready to start on this thing. I have been staring at the pictures in the article, and staring at my manifold, and I just don't see how to modify the second half of the manifold.

The article explains how to modify the side with the neck on it in great detail. Its very straight forward and helpful. However, the article doesn't seem to touch on the other side if the manifold at all. In the pictures, the side without the neck seems like it underwent some major modification.

I have a 1964 valiant wagon with a 225. It has a stock manifold on it. I then bought a super six setup off ebay. the super6 manifold is one of the ones with the 1/2 moon on it.

Is there an ideal year that I should be using for this, or do you just have to use your imagination of the second half of it?

If anyone has any info or has attempted this project, I would love to hear your input.

Thanks

After reading through some recent Q&A on the dutra dual, I have another question:

Would the Super manifold be too much? Would it be better to use a smaller stock manifold?

The half of the exhaust is a new casting, and the supersix intake is just fine

Yes, many people buy the new front "Dutra" exhaust manifold casting from me and modify their own factory manifold to save some $$

Other just "send a check" and ask me to do all the work. Doing that gets them a set of finished exhaust manifolds ready to bolt-on and run.

Was just wondering as I am in the middle of this rebuild and figure now is the time to try and do it all at once if I can afford it.
