Hey fellow Slanted Ones!

I got this car basically for free from a college student that abandoned it when they couldn't make the rent & the company I worked for was going to crush it!

Long story short, I was able to talk to the parents of the kid that left it behind, & they sent me the title! Since my first car was also a '64 I was excited! I've have a hard time getting around to doing anything with it the last year or so, so it's just been sitting in the driveway collecting moss!

A few weeks back I posted it for sale and didn't have any interest in it. I've been cleaning out the shop lately, and came across all the parts I've collected for it over the last 18 months or so, and while I haven't done a lot to the car itself, it is apparent that I was planning to!

So I've decided to get off my lazy butt & do something with this ride to turn it into a nice daily driver. Here's the plan:

Will pull the engine & clean up the engine bay, paint everything & replace all gaskets & seals I can while engine is out.

New head with some mild porting & gasket matching
Lynx side draft intake & Weber 48 DCOE carb
Lokar kick-down cable (floating gas pedal in the parts bin)
Lokar throttle cable
Disk brake conversion (All parts in bin, prepped & ready to install)
8 1/4" rear with 3.23s In the bin, prepped & ready)
Front sway bar (need to get) will fab my own LCA tabs if originals can't be found
Headers (need to get, may do Dutras if budget allows)
New rear HD Springs
New KYB shocks
Heaver torsion bars
New interior, as the old stuff is really rough.

Still exploring wheel/tire combos, and am thinking of painting it copper with the paint codes Stacey David used on project copperhead on Trucks!

The body is in pretty good shape, and shouldn't take too much work to get it looking good. The engine was rebuilt about 7k ago, and is really tight. Don't plan on doing any racing, just want a nice smooth runner that has a bit more giddy up than a bone stock slant. I'm not at all concerned with doing an accurate reproduction, because a stock ride isn't what I want.

I'll post pictures as I work my way through this project... I don't suspect I'll be done anytime soon, but I'm more interested in doing it right than doing a hurry up job.

Thanks for a place to post about this & I'll be putting some pics up in a bit.
