Anyone know if there are 1.6 ratio rockers available for the slant, and if so, would there be any advantage/disadvantage to running them with a stock 73 camshaft.

Yes there are 1.6' avail.

The ones I got are roller tipped,
not sure if you can get them in a standard tip.

You would get more lift / Some argue more duration also, I am not sure of this duration issue.

I have not used my set yet, but hopefully soon.

Some racers have seen a drop of .1 to .2 in their ET from switiching to 1.6 roller tipped rockers.

Not sure if it is all worth it n the stock cam on a street car ( i would guess)

Search for 1.6 Rockers on this forum, and give these guys a call too.

I would make sure that the pushrod doesn't interfere with the rocker arm. When I put stock pushrods back on my new SL6 rebuild after shaving the head 0.090 there was very little clearance between the rocker arm and the pushrod. It may be worse with a higher rocker ratio. The tight lash that my cam required (0.010I and 0.012E) may had made it a potential problem. Just a caution.
I say GO FOR IT!.

By the way, The Cox Brothers are a wealth of information. Give them a call.

Yes somtimes there are clearance issues, you just have to test fit and grind away any of the extra material from the head.
