I'm getting ready to do some rewiring when the weather is nice again. I'm just looking for some opinions on your favorite electrical connectors and why?

I'm looking at Packard Electric Weather Pack, Mate-n-lock, Deutsch, etc.

I like Deutsch for low amperage stuff (<6 amps) as they seem less bulky. (don't know about Mate-n-lock, never seen one)

Actually for 2-wire connections (low amp) I like the battery tender type (looks like a 2-wire version of the flat 4-wire trailer connector). Small, streamlined, and there's easy to use

For me, the pick depends on the task at hand. What kind of connections are you wanting to make? What're you wiring up?

Well, I already have a set of new aftermarket gauges and a custom aluminum gauge bezel to go in the dash, so I want good connectors for that. What got me thinking about connectors were the electrical problems I had recently with a Volvo 240 (fuses corroding, crummy circuit card tail light connectors, etc.)

I am also looking at replacing all the wiring in my Dart in general since a lot of it seems stiff and brittle.

So, I'm looking for connectors of all kinds for different ratings and jobs. I just wanted to know if there was something else out there for these tasks that I hadn't seen or thought of. Thanks for the replies so far.

For interior multi-wire connectors I often use the cheap molex (think that's what they're called, the blockish white ones with male & female pins) ones when they're out of site.

From years of past wiring nightmares, I always use connectors when I add aftermarket stuff (gauges, radios, amps) so things are easy to deal with when I have to remove them for some reason (broke, in the way for a repair...) It's a real pain dealing with 3 ft of wire if you don't...
