I did a very unscientific test of the Benz fuel pumps by installing a 5/8" hose on the pump inlet and dropping it into a bucket of water. Then I applied voltage to pump 1. It flowed roughly a gallon in roughly a minute. I think that puts it in the 200 litre an hour range, pumping through a dead pump.
Then I applied voltage to pump 2 and squirted water all over the garage.

Close enough to go forward with the rest of the install.

So, are you guys both running the TB inlet straight up?
I think I'm gonna run the adapter and TB as it is, forward facing with an adapter only, unless I come up with a way to create a "spacer" that will significantly increase plenum volume.

Hi Ken, Thanks on the congrats..

If you look at my video Here, and the Pics on my post Link from earlier,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_ZMTRbFNOU

You can see that I do not run my Throttle body like a Carb.. (although folks have without problems) (lou's on the 68 - was pre turbo.. & still might be.. & his 64 is straight up)

I made an adapter and some 3" exhaust tube for a cold air intake and added a bit of plenum volume.. Watch the video - It gives a pretty good shot of it.

Greg

So far, mine are all still straight up. For the new one, I made an adapter plate 7 yrs ago for the TB to Clifford and some linkage mounts, so I'll use that first and maybe switch later. Setup is going on my 64 Valiant with AC, so can't face it forward.

What kind of vacuum numbers do you see at idle? I'll be using the Ford IAC in the TB, and since my displacement is quite a bit less than the original applications, I can't even guess where I'll be.
