Okay tells me a lot but for what is this exactly? Is it something to do with knocking on the engine? |

Is it something to do with knocking on the engine? Yes another name for spark knock is ping. If colder Thermostat helped your noise, good indication of base ignition timing to far advanced. Wrong spark plugs too hot can also cause dentonation, another name for spark knock. Need timing light to see timing marks marks on engine. And then adjust distributor by loosening bolt, ajust very slightly. This is wild guess based on that bulletin and info provided. |

Well it’s when I accelerate I hear it the most it’s pretty annoying, and when I put it in gear and then press breaks and then a little gas so it rpm’s go up a bit then it knocks pretty good. Bulletins written for dealer mechanics, some times not good explanation. That bulletin matches your description and year of truck pretty close. Check ignition timing is something you should any way , noise or not. |

Oh man you just explained exactly what I always do, I press breaks an speed for higher rpm's and then its really loud, so same thina, do vou know exactiv What that IS? An When I just accelerate when driving on the road an let go of gas with window open I hear it way to clear an yes it's really annoying, but I'm pretty sure my fuel pump has something to do with it so let's see. Thanks for the info I'll definitely look that over an do it. |
