A couple of months back I posted a thread over at /6.com about a company that makes white faces for your A Body guages and other cars. I bought a set and just finished assembling the new cluster today. The whole set cost about $25.00 shipped, and I am pretty happy with the results. The faces are made of vinyl and have adhesive on the back. The gauge faces are of reasonable quality. The style/font of the original guages is copied exactly and the positions line up very well, except for the high beams and turn signal lights. The holes for these were slightly misaligned, and I ended up doing a little trimming with an exacto knife. But it wasn't too bad.

I had to apply them with soapy water and a blow dryer, and overall it was simple. The faces were very easy to line up and the blow dryer helped to eliminate air bubbles and set the adhesive. I had to be very cautious around the guage needles, as we all know how delicate they are. The speedometer face had a hole that was somewhat difficult to slide down and around the speedometer needle, but a little patience goes a long way. I repainted all of the needles and changed the color inserts for my turn signals from green to blue. I also reset the odometer(from a different car) to the mileage on my car. Since I have the black guage cluster in my Duster, the white faces really set it off. I bought, from the same company, some highly overpriced, colored LED lights so now my cluster lights up green at night!

I bought these on eBay from www.durangedesign.com and I would recommened it to anyone who might consider doing this. They make guage faces in many different colors for alot of different cars. The colored LED lights they sell are cool, but pricey, $4-5 per bulb. Most guage sets are $20.00-25.00. Yeah, it is a little bit "ricer-like", but we're allowed to have fun also, right? :D 8) :P
