Before you all start posting smart-aleck answers, I have a 72 road runner and I would assume that the license plate would go below the front bumper and between the turn signals. However, I don't have any sort of bracket to mount the plate to and I have seen pictures of other road runners and satellites that both have and do not have the plat emounted there.

Can anyone tell me for sure?

Thanks!

Might there be some holes on the underside of the bumper centerline where a l/p bracket should be mounted? If so, it may have been in a state that doesn't require a front plate, and the bracket was removed by a P/O.

Near as I can tell, this has always ben a Washington car, and Washington requires front plates. I'll look around some more, but I haven 't found mounting holes for a bracket yet. No sign of a bracket either. If all else fails I'll just tuck it between the dash and the windshield.
