Hey, my 79 volare ocassionally stalls after idling at stop lights (when I give it gas, it cuts out). I also notice when I a driving at around 50km/hr (30 mph), there is some bucking in the engine. It starts fine. It basically only when the car has been idling....any ideas.

The gasoline is getting heated up by the metal fuel line clamped to the engine block, causing it to boil. The fuel vapor fills up the accelerator pump well, leaving it empty of liquid fuel so there's nothin' there when you step on the gas. I've posted the fix (eliminating the metal line in favor of an insulated rubber one) numerous times lately; use the board's search feature and search for the word: 30R9 .
