WHERE CAN I PURCHASE AT A RESONABLE COST A FUEL TANK WITH THE SENDING UNIT IN IT FOR A 1972 PLYMOUTH SKAMP. I THINK ALL A BODIES ARE THE SAME. ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

A-body senders:

P/N 4051004 for '63-'74, P/N 4051006 for '75-'76.

I got a new one from "Classic Car Auto Parts" for a 63 Valiant. They also carry the sending units with acouple of different size gas lines. RMDV

I think there are a number of different emission vent set ups. My 70 duster had a different tank than the 72 I replaced it with for example.
American designers has a different listing for the 63 than 64 and up.
There are a number of places selling the American Designer brand tanks
(made in Canada). These fit well and are good quality. I bought mine from
Quanta (gastanks.com) who also has the senders, socks, and floats.
I have also seen the tanks at jc whitney and inlinetube.com

Check out the listing of tanks on inlinetube and you can see 6 different
tanks for the Chrysler A body cars.

As for price everybody's reasonable is different - $200 for a tank and
$100 for the sender seems to be the going rate. I think it to be Expensive
but it is less than a monthly payment on a new car!
