Hi everyone,

Has anyone had experience with fiberglass front fenders? My '68 Dart 270 got hit the other day and I haven't found a decent steel fender yet. But I have found a company that sells fiberglass fenders at a reasonable price.

Your comments??

Thanks in advance!

-Mac

VFN fiberglass should make very nice 68 fenders for a reasonable price. Do NOT buy from "Unlimited" in Corona, CA. Haven't heard a good word about em.

i bought a set from aar fiberglass while at carlisle. i have not mounted them yet, but they look to be really nice and have crisp body lines to match the originals. i don't forsee any problems with them.

A little-known A-body secret I learned awhile back: The outer stamping of the front fenders for '67-'69 and '73-'76 Darts are the same! The headlight/ bezel/grille mounting area is different, so you'd have to do a bit of surgery in this area, but it'd all be hidden behind the grille and bezel when you're done, so it wouldn't have to be concours bodywork.

The only change you'd have to make to the visible part of the fender is the marker light hole.

A '73-'76 fender might be a bit easier to find (and cheaper!) than a '67-'69 fender, and a '69 would need similar marker light mods.
