¡¡Hello Slant Entusiasts!!

I’m Gabriel from Buenos Aires (Argentine)… and I want to show my 1977 DODGE POLARA RT.

I have the "RT" 5 years ago ... the "SLANT" was slightly tired when I bought it :? , But it lasted a lot of time before saying definitively..STOP THE PUNISHMENT!!

After a few goings and returns ... tired of walking afoot  ... I‘m determined and the SLANT is going to remain like new... and probably with some kind of extra "pepper"

These are some photos of my "RT" ... I promise to upload more photos as the work advances.

Bye!

Neat!

I especially like the parts car parked on the street. We don't dare do that here in USA "the man" will come down on us!

Them valves look a little toasty! Check out the #6 exhaust valve!

Looks like lots of fun, wish I had such a desirable body style to work with.

Keep up the good work!

¡Bienvenidos, Gabriel!

We have at least one other Argentine member of the forum, that is argentina-slantsixer who has a Coronado. Looks like you've got a great project going. Is that a factory Chrysler 2bbl intake manifold?

Ok can someone tell me (Dan?) is that based off of the c-body or b-body US platform, the tail lights look 67 coronet my dad used to have but that grill almost looks Dusterish? I am not sure what it is about it but I like the style.

I think that's an "A-body" cousin.

Neither, it is an A-body.

Taillamps do have a B-body look about them. Headlamps are Renault 12 items (also Saab 99, also Ford GT40—yes, they were stock on many Argentine Mopars)

We park in the street because the workshop is very short jajaja... there's parked a Peugeot 505 inside... and a little space for my Slant :(

Yeah!... a little toasty?... You do not imagine the punishment that this slant received ... and the Exhaust Valves are cleans... this is for the GLP... it was an invention to economize on fuel... but no more GLP for this SLANT

Thanks DAN!!! the Coronado of argentina-slantsixer is beautiful... I don't know it in person, only in photo... but friends of mine say that it walks very well!! :D
The intake Manifold 2bbl is the original one of factory... it comes recorded his serie number... and the DODGE POLARA RT was coming equipped with a Holley 2bbl 2300 series.

Yeah DAN, it's an A- BODY... and the HeadLamps of this car are impossible to obtain because they are not made any more... but the HeadLamps of the Renault 12... with a little modification... ¡¡¡ IT'S THE SAME HEADLAMP !!!

Thanks!

che, degenerado!!! qué mentiras estarás contando!!!
jejeje

Not laughing at anybody here boys, we're just kidding in spanish.

Dodge Polara RT was a a-body based 2 door hardtop, this one came with the "Dutra-Duals" installed from factory. Seems that local chrysler division was very into listening to racers  perhaps gabriel can show you a detailed picture of that original cast iron split ex manifold.

Che, garbielito, ponete unas fotos del multiple original de la RT, si tenés, que estos ñatos creen que le encontraron el aujero al mate...

JAJAJAJA Juan is a good talker of jokes JAJAJA

He's in the correct thing... because I forget to comment that the exhaust manifold isn't the original one of factory... I put an Improved exhaust system that the original... this called Cañossilens (is for street performance)... and It gives to the car a better gone out of rest... to high speed probably it gained Some miles per hour... but the Slant was very tired because of it I did not continue punishing it  .

In this photos I show you the original Exhaust (there're anothers DODGES POLARA RT ... not mine :P )

Salute!

manifolds are still avalible NOS (some are old and rusty... expectable from a 20+ shelfed piece, huh?) price is about US$ 120 complete (rear and front castings) but shipping for those heavy mothers... I'd not expect it to be "doable"... I mean, prolly shipping would cost as much as getting the piece or even more.

bout you can see the resemblance btwn this pieces and the dutra duals can you?
