pushbutton trans on a 64...how do you remove the shifter assy? specifically, how do the wiper and headlight switches come out?

There's a small setscrew on the side of the wiper knob. Loosen and the knob comes right off.
On the light switch, find a spring loaded button on the side of the switch box (under the dash). Press that button and pull the knob and shaft out. It might take a little jiggling.
