The Mopar Chassis amnual says that thew 1972 Duster weighs 3100 lbs. The sticker on my Slant Six with automatic says GVWR 4245. GAWR Front 2080 and GAWR Rear 2165. This should be one on the lighter Dusters, why does th esticker say it weighs so much?

GVWR is just the maximum weight your Duster is rated to carry total. GAWR is just the weight that each axle (front or rear) can carry--that is the suspension, wheels, and tires can only carry that much weight over those axles. This is not the actual weight of your Duster...just a maximum safe weight given by the manufacturer.
