I don't understand why a turn signal switch should cost $150. But I can now understand why a person might charge double that to install one on a '65 Valiant :!:

Id be using my hand signals before dishing out that much for that  I had to do that in the past if a blinker went or something and you see how dumbfounded people are when you do it. They either think youre giving them the finger or directing them to pass you , then you feel like an idiot even trying.

I remember reading somewhere that the turn signal switch from later cars (volare) will interchange with the earlier ones except for a slightly shorter wire. Plus it gives you the lane change feature. I could remember wrong. $300 to change? At best it's 1 hour of labor for any competant shop. Seriously it's 1 nut, 1 bolt, 3 screws, and 2 minutes with a steering wheel puller. The hardest part is fishing the wire through the column.

You remind me of once when I turned into a little restaurant for lunch. Later a cop sat down by me and commented that he had seen me use hand signals. :!: Must have been a real shock to his system.

But I got tired ot rolling the window down in winter.

Thanks

EXACTLY :!: And under the mid-day sun? :!: :!: Whoever put those tiny spaces and sharp edges in there must have been a former SS torture chamber designer. :!: :!: :!:
