I have a 70' Valiant with a slant 6. I have no idea what size engine it has. Is there a way to determine if the engine is a 170/198/225 without pulling the motor?

Thanks
Highway

Original equipment on a '70 would be a 198 or 225. Look at the engine ID number stamped on the top surface of the block, directly below the frontmost spark plug, sandwiched inboard of the alternator's lower bracket. You will probably have to clean away the grease and scunge. Post the number here and we'll decode it for you.
