Hi, my 1966 Valiant is having fuel, and temp gauge problems. When I turn on the key the temp gauge stays all the way cold and the fuel gauge is way over full.

My dads Chilton's book mentions something about a voltage regulator, or could it be a ground problem. Any help would be greatly appriciated

The instrument cluster voltage limiter is a suspect usually if BOTH gauges read all the way low or all the way high. You should fix this right away, because a gauge that stays at full-high all the time will quickly fry and die.

Step one: Get some proper service manuals. Chilton doesn't count. See this thread.
