I'm unsure of what carb to use on my setup. I'm using a 2 barrel manifold and so far have been considering the stock BBD, because I've seen a few people turbo them, and the Holley 350/500. I need to know whats the easier and will handle boost well.

I was also wondering about fuel delivery. I've read you could boost reference the stock fuel pump by adding a pressure line to the filter vent? I would love to see some pictures of this. I didn't see anywhere on my fuel pump that looks like vent. And will this method handle 10psi max boost?

I plan on running around 4psi daily and maybe 8-10psi when I feel like driving. This will be a blow thru setup with a small intercooler and a T3/T4 turbo on a 170ci slant.

The vent should be on the bottom of the fuel pump. If you can't find one, make one.

I have a '73 Swinger in the garage right now undergoing the turbo conversion. I'm using an '80s 318 carb on a stock 2-bbl manifold. That doesn't necessarily make it the best choice, but it's the one I'm using. Just make sure you have tight throttle shafts (which is the reason I chose this carb out of a line-up of 3).

The bowl vent has to be referenced to boost (above the throttle plates) also. This car is getting MSD's Timing Master to retard timing under boost.

Thanks mike. I've read a lot of your articles and they've been a big help. I think I saw you over at Turbo Dodge too :)

I found a thread that helped me picture the boost referencing here: http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... +reference

Good point about the MSD. They seem to be fairly priced so I'm going to use one for cheap insurance. I know it's a necessity at higher boost.
