Post subject:  Oil sender sealing

Does anybody use teflon tape or ??? to seal the threads of a suspected leaking oil sender? Or does that mess with the grounding effect (if there is one?)

You do need metal-to-metal contact at the threaded junction. They don't tend to leak through the threads, they tend to leak through the (blown) sender itself!

That would explain why it didn't leak before and does now. Thanks.
