Just got my new fuel sender from Paddock today (right one; 5/16" fitting), and no manufacturer or "made in xxxx" anywhere on the thing (or the packaging). Anyone know who manufactures the fuel senders that Paddock sells? |

Is the float brass or stainless steel? |

It's brass (snaps on. Do they all snap onto the rod?), and the pickup "sock" is cylindrical instead of having the flattened end.

Probably a Spectra Premium brand sender, then. |

You didn't say it's junk, so I'll take that as a good sign. Now I just have to deal with the pain of calibrating it when I install it. I take it there's no easy way to drain the fuel tank?
