Hi,just pulled the motor out of the car to do a cam swap and on first appearance it seems that there isn't a thread in the end of the crank.If this is so how do you replace the balancer--I'm reluctant to tap it on with a brass hammer for fear of damaging the thrust bearing.Also if there is a thread there what size is it please.

Clean and look carefully, all the USA Slants have a 3/4-16 unf thread in the "snout" of the crank.

Thanks Doc,I think all Aussie slants were produced in either the US or Canada so the thread should be there.
