There used to be a blockoff plate available for use with '73-up Slant-6 intake manifolds if you didn't want/need to run EGR. I used to have the part number! Anyone have one, or know the P/N? Need one in a hurry...

Don't know a part number. You'll most likely find one on a 1977-78 truck or van, expecially if it has a higher GVW rating. Or look in a tractor/farm equipment salvage yard, many swathers (hay cutting machine) used Slant 6's and the 1975-up engines will have that plate on too.

If you have the old EGR valve just cut out a pice of sheet metal (roofing tin or what ever) and just make two holes for the bolts / studs. Install it under the EGR valve until you can find a block off plate.

You could also make one from a piece of steel bar stock. Just cut off a piece, drill two holes in it and you are done.

The 1976 Mopar Parts Catalog lists the following part number for a 225 /6 EGR Valve Flange Cover:
3671447. It's applications are for Plymouth A-body cars and Dodge Coronets only...

Good luck Dan

That's what I did. Just used a gasket for a template, took about 5 minutes.

I made one from a piece of 1/4" aluminum and made a gasket to fit. No problems and it lasted for years.
