 Post subject: Engine comparison *PIC*

Since the conditions Saturday at Kearney were almost identical to last year,(4500ft corrected altitude, 15mph headwind) here is a comparison of my new motor vs. the old one. Everything was identical except for the motor itself and the torque converter. (Intake, carb, exhaust, gear, tires, ignition, weight, even jetting are exactly the same as last year) Last year, the best pass was 19:13@68mph. This year, the best pass was 17:19@81mph. So, the head, pistons, cam, windage tray and converter were worth almost 2 seconds and 13mph. On Sunday, c/a was 2300ft with a 25mph headwind and it ran 16:93@ 80.5 mph. Here is a look at the Kearney track. Dennis
