For my 72 Duster, Im gonna drive it with the slant 6 for awhile and eventually drop a 360 in it. My Power steering pump is crapped out and needs to be replaced along with the hoses. My question is, are the slant 6 power steering pumps and small blocks power steering pumps the same? if so, I want to go ahead and get all that fixed now and when I drop the V8 in just use the pump from the slant. Can i do this?

The P/S pump does not care what engine it is bolted to. Yes the same PUMP will work; But the bracketry is different between them, and a reman at the parts store does not come with them anyway. Your hoses may differ too.

As I recall.... the SL6 hose is a little longer so it can be made to work on the V engine. When you go from the V-8 to the SL6 is where you end-up short on the high pressure PS hose.
