Well I got my completed motor Firday! After almost 2 years it's 100% complete and installed.I have posted photos of it on

Congratulations, I know how good a feeling it is when all that time and money finally falls into place. What sort of compression ratio will all that make?

Very nice build, I like what you have done. I would like to ask a few questions if you dont mind anwsering them, if I step on something you dont wish to show just tell me.

The Hooker headers, did you get them from Jegs?
What is the JoB Number on the ROSS pistons?
And what ring pack/set are you using.
Any pics or flow numbers on your head work?
Whats the specs on your cam ( Is the one with split duration & lift)

Jess

Since the engine has been installed I figure you turned the right side motor mount right side up.

Did you take the leading set of points out of the distributor since you're using an electronic ignition box?

Any particular reason the carb primaries are facing forward?

Why beryllium valve seats?

Looks fantastic. Nice job on everything. Like your oilpan work especially. Now the tuning begins...

First yes I did flip the right motor mount around.I had it facing down to get in the fixture when I brought it home from the motor shop. The primary faces forwards because it was the easest way to get the throttle linkage to work properly.I got the headers from Jegs. They were supposed to fit my F body but hit the booster so I had to modify the rear tube a little. We used the Beryllium seats because they are harder.Very tough to cut/machine and a little not to healthy to work with(need gloves, eye protection and resprator) but are supposed to be the best. The rings are Total Seal Moly and we ended up with 10.58 compression.Originally we were shooting for 11.0 but when all was said and done we had 10.58.That required another Schneider cam.The specs are roughly108/106 lobe sepration274/230 duration@.50 lift.Remember it was built as a Nitrous motor. The Mallory box can be used with either 1 or 2 sets of points and has a 2 step limiter. The neat thing is it comes with a bypass plug to run just the points, plug and play.I really happy to see the response. It's going to take me a few weeks to get everything buttoned up for the first shake down drive but I'll keep you posted on how it goes. It's been this long now and I just want to get everything as perfect as possible.I'll post some additional photos later this week. Thanks for your encouragement :P :P

I was serious in my other post about an article in SSRN about your build up. If you want to send me some of the particular information, photos and a little about yourself I will put the article together and send it to Seymour.
