Havin some trouble with the new Dart i picked up. I crank her over and she'll fire and die, then i do it again and shell fire and die (while doing the pedal part way down deal, like it says on teh visor) Then itl just crank and crank and crank and not fire. Then i come back later, crank and pump a ton it fires. I have to sit ther and pedal it to keep it running for a bit.

I dont think it should be a cold start problem, its at least 85 degrees out.

Also i dont know how to tune the carb it has. and i dont see any badging on it. Ive tuned a carter YF on a ford, i just dont know whats happening with this one.

Any sugestions? I want to use this as my daily driver, but i do alot of running for a film company, i need to get it firing and goin so i dont sit in the parking lot for 10 minutes while they are waiting for props or something.

Thanks in advance

With the engine cold, take the lid off the air cleaner, then push the pedal to floor once, then release it. Is your choke butterfly now closed, or is it still open?
