Thanks, : Drew Looks like you're in pretty good shape. I suggest running a 2400-3000 RPM stall converter (10" at the largest) and a bigger cam. A 225 or 230 @ 0.050" cam will still be quite smooth if you're worried about streetability. I have the MP .490" cam, 234 deg @0.050" and it is pretty well behaved on the street. With that slightly larger cam, I'd also knock 0.090" off the head if you're using stock compression height pistons. With this combo, you should have no trouble hitting high-15's, low 15's or high 14's should be possible. Happy building, Lou |

Thanks, : Drew Looks pretty good, I would add a windage tray onto the list. If this is really going to be a "tow to the track racecar",I'd give it some more cam and rear end gearing. (4.56) If you plan to drive it to the track, put together what you already have, "tweak it in" and be ready for Rockingham in April! DD |

Slicks and tools and floor jack in the back of the wife's new Durango, yep, that'll last long.I'll have a trailer by mid season. Anyone want to swap new in the box Comp.cam#264s-8 for something a little more aggressive? E-Mail if so. MoparBrat63@aol.com Thanks again,Drew MoparBrat63@aol.com |
