I have a '66 /6 225 one barrel stock Belvedere with a cracked exhaust manifold. Are most years compatible? I've found a '70 Dodge van manifold, will it simply bolt up to my '66 Belle? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It will bolt up. There will be choke compatibility issues, but they are minor. '60-'69 and '73-up exhaust manifolds have a pocket cast into the top of the #5 runner for the choke. '70-'72 manifolds have an open-top "stove" in this location; the choke is mounted and sealed with a stainless steel cup (taking the place of the pocket) with a gasket. If the '70 manifold has a functional choke on it, and there's no leak between the choke cup and the manifold, then you can just use the '70 choke. If the choke doesn't work right, install one of the Electric choke kits instead. If there's a leak, this gasket is hard to find; you'll likely need to make your own out of bulk gasket material.

Other than that, yes, no problem here.

The choke issues may be the reason there seems to be a cut off in parts application between '69 and '70. The earlier ones are not easy to find.

As mentioned, the choke issue will be easy enough to deal with. The manifold I found listed on ebay is new and for a '70-87 Dodge truck. From the photos it looks like the same choke that I've got on my '66 Belle.

Nice to know there is so much helpful knowledge on this board.

Thanks again,

JF
