Hello All,
In the "Awakening of Lorrie Van Haul", there has been gotten some JPGs of her VIN Plate. They are the last to JPGs on this web page:

http://msamericanpi.bravehost.com/dodge.htm

There are a number of web sites that interpret Mopar VIN Plates, but none of the ones that they show look like the one on Lorrie.

It would be most certainly appreciated if someone could take a look at these two JPGs and see what they can find out about this vehicle.

Thanks again for any info that might be found.

Hope you all are well.

JC

The VIN plates look very similar to the ones found on A100 vans/trucks and might also be similar to the D/W series pickups. You might try contacting one of those forums (I think sweptline.org) is one of those and see what they say about it.

Hey Dartman,
Thanks for the response. I'll check on sweptline.org. Lorrie was a government fleet vehicle in her earlier life. I don't know if THAT has any relevance.

I've been working on Lorrie all morning. Got the front bumper off, the radiator extracted, the fan, spacer, and pulley removed, all the hoses off, and pulled the Water Pump. From what I can tell, the water must go into the bottom of the radiator from the pump, and then from the top of the radiator back into the engine. The outlet for the Water Pump was clogged with some gelatin-like substance, and the outlet itself was eaten away, and there's where the leak was happening. Can you say NEW Water Pump?

Also, this is probably the location to also ask about "proper/correct" 1967 /6 engine colors. When I rebuilt the engine in 1985-6, I painted the block, head and transmission Red. And the Valve Cover Black. Back then I had no idea what was right. I just did the job, and that was that. But this time I'd like to be a little more aware of how it "should" be.

Again thanks for the response, and the info.

Hope you have a wonderscanned day.

JC
