OK boys and girls if there would be enough people willing, from say 500 miles from Tucson AZ. I would be willing to speak with Southwestern international Raceway to get us a day at the track. Fridays are usually test and tune and then have something the next day. I think the worst is that out here as to the east side of the country we are spread out far apart.

So phoenix, tucson, el paso, las cruses, yuma maybe san diego, las vegas and out lining cities up to 500 miles. remember the speed limit for AZ is 75 mph :D . pm me if it sounds fun and possible for you.

I live 4 miles from S.I.R so that makes it easy to ground work. I have a friend that knows the owner a little so that may help. Plus the Napa guys in town here I know may, and I mean MAY, sponsor it. I need a rsvp type deal to show the # of people that will BE here. If your not sure please don't commit you can Always show but as always these guys want hard numbers.

Rick Valant lives in Tucson and he would be interested. Rick is not on the internet but I will try to get you his phone number.
He knows a few other SL6 people in that area who would also be interested.

I wont be moving back to Tucson until after January 1st. So if its after January I will make sure I bring out a car. I have been thinking about this for years before I moved away and really want to see this happen if not in Tucson at least a Race in AZ.

For anyone who has not been to SIR its a very good track. One of the safest I have been to. I like it more then the Phoenix track.

well if this all works out I will give everyone a far enough notice and get an idea when we can do this. Lets say March of next year for now. This would give me time to drum up some more vender support. If its big enough we could hit up big companys that support the performace slant six engine. Not soon enough? let me know but I need names and date ideas from those who which to"play".

Mopars at the Strip is the last weekend of March usually. That would not be a good weekend for you I'm guessing. :)

I would guess April would be a good month. You can go to MATS in March and tell everyone about it. You can make it a points race IF you get with Seymour this fall. If its about a month after MATS then folks have a chance to save up some travel money to get there.

Well I'm only seeing a small group of people so far but like I said no date is set in stone yet. Im looking for any one that has a slant to show up. The racing is for everyone but I want slants by the droves to show up. Id rather not open up for v8 cars but at this point 6-10 slant cars is not going to work. If it helps think of this idea as the Mecca of slant gatherings 100 slant sixs decend on to Tucson.............run Honda owners!
