Ok, so I've started putting together the new powetrain for my 1966 Dart, and thought I'd throw out my outline for some feedback.

1966 Dart, 2 door
A833 OD out of my Featherduster.
Update to 4.5" bolt pattern out of mt Featherduster, will give me manual Disks too.
Looking at under 3000 lbs easily when it's all said and done.
Aluminum 16" Rims to cut down on the rotating mass a bit.

225 block and head out of the Featherduster.
198 Rods
2.2 Pistons (-18 CC Dish)
Cleanup pass on the deck and head only...gotta keep the comp. ration reasonable for a street car.

Phord valves, Manley 1.785 Stainless Intake, and 1.465 Stainless Exhaust.
Bowl and ports worked.

Multi port EFI. Intake, based around the Clifford Side-draught intake, and a bolt on plenum, with a single side draft throttle body.

6 into 1 header (can't run duals, with the O2 sensor for the injection).

The only real variable left, is the Cam. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Brett,

With the exception of the EFI, sounds like we're building a similar setup. Right or wrong, I've purchased the 268 Clifford cam. We're running the water heated Clifford 4bbl intake w/ a 570 CFM Holley Street Avenger. Do you have your 198 rods? They were a bugger to find.

They should be sitting in a package on my front porch right this minute. =)

Looks like a good combo.
I would be sure to add some ARP con rod bolts, could also add the head and main studs if you have some extra coin to spend.

Be sure to do some oil system passageway work. (see the block prep article) and use a good timing chain & gear set.

ONLY PROBLEM I SEE IS THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO GO HOG WILD ON INTAKE VALVES WHEN THEY SHOULD BE LEANING TOWARD LARGER EXH. VALVES. IF YOUR GONNA HAVE ANY INT. VALVE BIGGER THAN 1.70,I WOULD ADVISE 1.50 EXHAUST VALVES,EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO CHANGE TO CHEVY VALVES. THIS IS ALL MY OPINION,TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN.....
