 Post subject: boosting fuel pump
PostPosted: Fri Feb 22, 2002 10:53 am
anyone have info or pics on where on the fuel pump to drill and tap for line to boost using presure from the preserizes side of a turbo? I got a new replacement pump today and would like to modify it rather than the original one on the car.

Here is a PIC of a high volume pump with a 1/16 NPT fitting installed so a plastic tube & ferrel can be installed. (the same stuff used on mechanical oil pressure and vacuum guages)

If your pump does not have a lot of extra metal around the vent hole, you can also use a hose "bib" fitting like the ones pressed into carbs to accept the small vacuum advance hose. shoot for a tight press fit and use a little epoxy, the hose must be strong enough to hold the boost and be clamped so it won't pop-off under pressure.
