When I was scrounging for parts, I came across the aluminum EFI plate sitting on top of late 80's Ford 3.8 L intake manifolds. I realized that a little dremmel work on the "V" followed by paint and block sanding to cleanup the raised aluminum edges was all that was needed to bring out the truth beneath. See pic.

Very nice.......I think I'm gonna follow Doc on this one. Maybe see if I can snag a pair.

BTW....how's the plate held on.....screws?

In the original application, 7 fasteners looking like short spiral nails were used to secure . . . I intend to use short allen head bolts with sealing washers underneath when I'm actually ready to fasten.
To remove from the 'surogate'intake(I've pulled about 3 off), I hammer/chisel each of the 7 fasteners sideways / vertically a few times to loosen their grip in the aluminum. Then I CAREFULLY pry from underneath while simultaneously giggling the nearest fastener. Seems to work.

C'mon guys you have to install the EFI first ;) Although I'll have to admit that I already have a "Turbo SL6" logo ready to put on my trunk panel :)

Oh, great! The dreaded, (what I call), drive rivets. Thanks for the info, and removal tips. Think I'll go see if I can find any today.
