I have a spare set of LCA's I'm rebuilding and noticed something. There is play in the torsion bar receiver, both along the axis of the bar and radially.

I'm going to be welding some stiffening plates, so I can squeeze the halves together to take out the front/back slop.

What about the radial slop though? I know it will be taken up when the torsion bar puts pressure on the arm through the adjusting bolt, but won't that change when the bar twists?
