Hey! What are this groups thoughts on my loosening the front and rear pan bolts say..,half to a whole turn? This would relieve some of the pressure on the front and rear gaskets, and, let them reform? Possibly stopping the small leak, (front passenger side corner), that has started. They were tightened to 'spec', but, this is obviously too tight. Or is it too late for this?

I would try loosening the bolts just enough around the area leaking to allow you to carefully "pry open" that corner, clean with spray carb. cleaner, blow dry, squirt-in some sealer then retighten. Just draw down the bolt snug and wait until the sealer sets before doing the final tightening.

I would try Dougs suggestion. I had one leak on that corner after rebuilding the engine years ago. Seems the factory torque specs cause the gasket to squash out of place. I just cleaned up the leak area with some carb cleaner and applied RTV Silicone over the outside joint area and it solved the problem. I never did loosen the pan bolts.
