Just curious. I had a stainless steel swirl polished valve break on my race engine, just below the keepers(lock). Never had a valve fail like that.....not wanting to burn or flame anyone....I have talked to the owner,I just was curious as to knowing if anyone else had a failure?
I was going to replace all the valves anyway after the failure, but am going a whole different route w/ it this time around.

The guy at EB said we didn't have enough valve spring pressure, and it allowed the spring to spin, and the locks to "saw through".
Never head of it....anyhow, let me know if you have had an issue.
Thanks.
Andrew/Kidd

You break an exhaust or intake? The exhaust locks fit loose to allow the valve to rotate. They need 4-grooves because they would fail right away if there were only one groove or ridge on the keeper and they were loose. If you sand down the locks so they fit the valve tight it will be stronger.
