Greetings to all Slant Sixers,


I just bought a 1961 Dodge Lancer that hadn't been started in over three years. Everything was going great. Car was about to start, everything was fine and then when I pushed the gas pedal down gently, it broke off at the base and I have no idea how to fix. Anyone have a good solution or know where I can purchase a new one? Gas pedal unit attaches to floorboard, top of pedal connects to first part of accelerator linkage.

Other than finding a replacement, you might try using a hinge !
unbolt the base part from the floor pan and figure out how to attach the hinge. That will enable you to drive the car for a while.
This will beat using duct tape

I wonder if this is the same as on '63-66 Darts/Valiants? If so, I probably have an extra one in very good condition.
