Hey folks,

I just spoke with Mike Jeffrey about a Kearney, NE race this summer. He says best dates would be the 1st or 3rd weekends in June or the 1st weekend in August.

We do not have to do this race again this year, especially if people are still hurting from the economy, but there seem to be quite a few people interested. I am interested in going again (with a FASTER car) and I bet we could muster 10-15 cars if some folks get their iron together. There were several from TX, OK, NE, AR, who are putting rides together.

The track is quite interested in having us again, and they loved the show we put on.

Who's interested? What dates work for you?

If anyone's would like to know more about the track, or the area, or would just like to speak to a serious expert on Slant Six racing technology, feel free to call Mike Jeffrey - 308-324-3576.

Thanks,

Lou

Lets do it, any date is good for me as this race will be a priority. Glen Terry is not racing sl.6 this year but he will come to this one and probably his son John, thats the top three bees.I believe 3or 4 more from the west is very possible, if we can get a few from Texas and vicinity we will have a good field. I intend on donating towards the purse more on that later.

Glad to hear you guys are interested. Mike will be excited.

Hopefully those TX guys and others in the middle of the USA can get their cars/acts together.

Lou

I would definately like to be there this year. I am tentatively planning to go to Hagerstown, the early Woodburn race and Kearney so my season could be over in a month. I would try to be there in either June or August but have a comittment on July 31. Kearney was a fun place to race, lets try to make this the place to be this year!

There's always a chance... ;)

Sorry I missed this post — I haven't had as much time to stop by as I used to.

I'd LOVE to attend, but like last year, I need to get a CAR driveable for a 1300 mile trip, and that still requires time and money. Both are getting better, but still in short supply around my household. June would make for a cooler trip, but otherwise June, July, or August would be pretty much all the same for me. Once you guys set a date, I'll push to get my act together in time... but I don't wanna let anybody down this year, so I won't promise anything. I'll do everything I can to make it, though!

How 'bout you, Rick? Did you get your bucket painted and put together?

Finish my car: hopefully

Get my act together: not a chance :D

I have not had the vehicle in my physical possession since 2005. It disappeared once for twelve months, cost me $3500 for nothing that I'm still trying to recover from, having to prove that the thing was actually mine . I had to track down my own car and repo it back. ALWAYS keep a paper trail on any vehicle purchase, it saved my tail from being charged with auto theft. I physically saw it pushed into the paint booth on Elvis' birthday 2010. Pray for me............

One night after we've been drinking (or not), I'll relate the entire saga of my little Dart: Marriages, divorces, restraining orders, heart attacks, bypasses, custody hearings, sheriff and police departments, transposed VIN numbers, tornados and that's just the heavy stuff.

Now if I can just get my truck fixed.......................

I should be able to make it again. (Provided I don't break anything before then.)

Is this going to be a points event???

Whatever date you pick I will be there. I would prefer a June date.

I'd like to make this one too, (unlike last year), even if I'm only a spectator.
My problem is that the Back to The Fifties show in MN is June 18-20. It's been four years since I've been up there, and I'm not going to miss it this year.

I'd be great with the last weekend of June.

Roger
