Has anybody used an Innovate LM-1 wide band meter on their car? I finally installed it after buying it many years ago. I mounted the rather bulky box where I can read it as I go down the road. What I don't understand is after it warms up it usually shows the % of oxygen in the air--good for testing the theory that your car will run faster on a drag strip with a lot of trees nearby. Then when you floor it, it will show your air-fuel ratio. Is this how it is supposed to work?
Has anybody successfully used the recording and downloading capability? Greg Ondayko had a simple gauge on his Volare that seemed to show the air-fuel ratio at all times, that is what I expected to see.
Any ideas?

Normally it only shows the % of oxygen if it there is very little fuel, if you have missfires or a dead cylinder, or if you have an exhaust leak somewhere letting outside air in. We've noticed the clamp on O2 sensors that go in the end of the tailpipe often get a considerable amount of air in them at idle and light throttle, preventing a good reading, but then they can start sampling as the exhaust flow rates pick up.

Seymour,

I have the LC-1 in my car with the blue gauge, as seen here,

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/inno ... p-153.html

Sorry I cant help you with that LM-1.

Maybe try the Megasquirt forms as there are tons of injection savvy folks there.

Probably in the wiring ands sensors section.

Here we go....If it is any where near the end of the tail pipe and the car has any form of an after market cam in it will not read correctly except at full throttle.
The analog out puts are known not to work all the time, Oh yea dont call tech support they think that they know everything and you know nothing. This is a prety good product it could be a great product if they cared about the small stuff.

I use a secret device that loves pine trees and can tell me when the force is with me . Or you need a person like James Longhurst who can give you this data. James invented my secret device. Thanks Ron Parker :D
