OK, I finally started my 1 to 2 barrel modification. I got the manifolds off the engine with only breaking one stud, heads gona go out for work so no
big deal.

i broke the two bolts that hold the intake to the exhaust. I am trying to think of the best way to correct the problem,they are stuck I mean really stuck even after heating and then a 2 hr soaking in PB blaster. So i'm thinking about drilling them out for a clearance hole and putting new bolts with nuts on them so there will be no threads in the manifold.

now how about that egr valve or lack of, what are the pros/cons of putting a egr valve back in place?

Is it more work than it is worth?
Or would it make up in fuel savings?
Or I would it be a drag on preformance?
