I've got a 1973 vintage 1920 carb I'm inspecting for suitability for rebuilding. The fuel bowl looks ok. Slightly warped at the 6 and 12. The economizer cover is a bit more warped. A little planing on a file might fix it. The throttle shafts aren't too bad but it might be worth 35.00 to rebush them. I'm baffled with the metering block. The needle behind the main jet is not centered. It's resting against the side of the port. Is this normal?

my understanding is that the metering block is not repaiable. if it's gone south, replace it. on the down side, many years ago i was told they r not being made anymore.
